Great site you have here. Back in the mid 60's, before the Ashburn, Georgia plant was built, there was a distributor in Georgia, who would drive to Irwin, Pa, and bring back 3 to 4 trailers at a time for the dealers in the south. When John Serro realized that this wasn't going to satisfy the need, he built the plant. My step father, Phil Dominy, was that distributor, who became the sales manager at the Ashburn plant until around 1972. As a kid, I rode my bicycle up and down the assembly lines there, attended the Scotty camper club rallies all over the south, and even remember part of the "ScottyLand USA Song". I can also remember having dinners at the plant, big fish frys, with Mr Serro attending, and a campout just outside Orlando the weekend that DisneyWorld opened. Ah, the memories. Keep up the good work.
