NATIONAL SERRO SCOTTY ORGANIZATION NEWS

The NSSO lost its Assistant Admin when Walter L. Kroes suffered a seizure on Jan. 20 and subsequently passed away. His last activity was a ride to the vet, during which he grinned and looked out the window. He passed right after arriving, it was quick and painless. Walter was a great boy and a wonderful addition to the NSSO Admin team. He will be greatly missed. RIP Walter.

In May we will be camping at Traverse City State Park. We have never camped there so Walter journied up to check out what sites we should shoot for. If you've not reserved a site for this event, you can do so now!

Also in May, directly following Traverse City, we will camp again at Algonac State Park. This campground, on the St. Clair River, is part of the St. Lawrence Seaway that ships use to come from the Atlantic into the Great Lakes. Here we can watch freighters coming and going from our riverside seats. Reserve your site (SOON)!

In June we visit Pennsylvania again at French Creek State Park. Reserve your site NOW if you are going!

In September we return to the mountains of north Georgia, home to many waterfalls. Expect to do a lot of sight seeing, if you want, while we are there. Reserve your site NOW.

In October we visit West Virginia for the very first time. Holly River State Park looks to be a very beautiful spot. Make your reservation now if you are coming.
