Wilderness State Park, Carp Lake, MI - September 9-16, 2018

This campground is located west of Mackinaw City, MI. We will be camping in Lakeshore 1-75, which has available sites (it appears!)

Trip 1
- McGulpin Point Lighthouse $3/admission, can climb if desired
Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; 500 Headlands Rd., Mackinaw City, MI
- Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse $8/admission, can climb if desired

- Lunch at Scalawags, take out or dine in, 226 E. Central Ave., park on street, it is down an ally.
Trip 2
- Cross the bridge and visit the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie (65 miles)

- Lunch at Lehto's Pasties in St. Ignace

Trip 3
- Head west along the coast to Cross Village
- Take M119 south along the coast and through the Tunnel of Trees
and follow down through Harbor Springs to 31 in Petoskey. Turn right and stay on 31.
- 31 winds along the coast and down along the east bay of Traverse City, passing through many towns.
- Lunch at Don's Drive In 2030 US 31 N., on your left not too long after entering Traverse City for car side service
- Pierce Stocking scenic drive of Sleeping Bear Dunes
- Empire Bluff Trail - Sleeping Bear Dunes
