Backing Your Trailer
Helpful vintage document. A couple of things to note, when hooking up your trailer, cross your safety chains. Hook the left chain in the right hole and the left chain in the right hole. That way, should your trailer come unhitched, the chains will form a cradle to catch the tongue. It won't hurt and it might just help! Also, when backing your trailer, current advise is to grip your steering wheel at the bottom and then if you want the back of your trailer to go right, move your hand to the right, left to the left. If you hold your steering wheel at the top, it is the opposite. Trailer go right, steering wheel go left.
