Finished pictures...

Fell in love with the scallops on the door of this cabinet.
And, like the painted look. Will be utilizing this look for Ted's "kitchen"

The Kreg 4 jig makes quick work of making a face frame for the new cabinet

Just about done

Done - glue drying

Frame painted. New doors with scallops done - glue drying.
And best of all, the new Travels with Ted magnet board is installed.
You can't see it from this picture, but it shows our part of Michigan,
including Delton, from where all our travels begin.

The floor of the yet uncompartmented cabinet. I lined it with a self-adhesive cork product.
Think contact paper, only cork.

One of the scariest tasks - cutting holes in the skin.
Box to the left (2 7/8" hole) is the 30 amp power port outlet.
To the right 1 1/4" hole for side marker lights - did not have any originally.
The rectangle is for an outside outlet.

The kitchen hatch door. No wood except that tiny piece that went around the lock.

The other side. Ugh. Will rebuild with white cedar and styrofoam.

Found and using this product for the frozen door hinges. After two applications
last week, I can move the hinges with just my hands this weekend. Progress!

The door frame/hinge.

Door opening cut out with the new Rockwell Laser guide saw. LOVE it!
Outside of both sides painted one coat exterior heavy-duty white paint.

Second coat of paint is shiny metallic. Hoping for a bit of reflective properties here.

Subtle but kitchen cabinet is distressed and aged.

As are the doors. Sanded to bare wood in typical wear patterns and then
wiped with Early American (color) oil-based stain.

Base for kitchen cabinet is done and awaits installation.

Realized I needed to modify my original thoughts. 12v wiring for the running lights
will be between the lower and upper floor. But if I ever had a problem, would have
no way to access it. Added cross pieces front and rear and will create access panels there.
Painted with heavy duty exterior paint.

Screwed a chunk of 1x2 to each door hinge to try to free them up. Worked great. Both are
now freed up so both hinges can be reused.

Dismantled this vintage breaker box I bought many years ago from
"Chicken Bob". It was set up with a plugged cord. I am hooking it to a
30 amp power receptical. I added a second breaker as it was only using one.
Almost forgot I have to connect the black power sides to each other so both
breakers will have power. Good catch Dad!

Set my cabinet doors in place and set the cabinet in the trailer just so see what it looked like.

Built the kitchen hatch door frame and it fits!

Clamped frame in place and re-set the kitchen cabinet to see if it will work. It will!

LOVE it! I tacked a small piece of 1/8" plywood on the roof to check the look.
Again, LOVE it! ;-)

After 2 coats of self-etching aluminum primer and 2 coats of Valspar Ruby Red
and 1 coat of clear coat, added the wrap that Premier Graphics created for me
from the official images received from Woolrich. Rachel A. & Gail L. came over
from Ann Arbor to lend their hands. Mabel, of course, supervised.

All four of the skins that received the Woolrich buffalo plaid

Then someone else insisted her Scotty and the new Scooter also get Woolriched!

The original fenders before sand blasting

After sand blasting and 3 coats of glossy black

The vintage taillight fixtures after 3 coats of glossy black Krylon for plastic

The new upper floor after stain and poly

New kitchen is installed - this from bed side - a rear panel yet to be added.
Middle cupboard opens to rear.

From the kitchen side - doors yet to be installed - hinges ordered

Whew - passes inspection.

Kitchen side doors installed. Reproduction brushed nickle butterfly hinges and NOS 1950 latches

LOVE the latches.

Bed side panel installed. Outlet installed in bed side cupboard. Heater & fan will go here.

Knotty cedar strips laminated to panel

Door installed. Has the push magnetic catch.

Repacking bearings. They were in perfect shape, did not replace them.

Using Watco Danish Oil in clear on the knotty pine plywood. Makes the grain & knots pop!

Second coat of red on the roof skin. Fenders have five coats, glossy black.

12 volt running light wiring is done. Insulating floor with foil sided insul board-foil down.
The opening in the upper cabinet panel has been cut. Clothes storage area.

Upper floor installed. Did it this way so it can be removed if I need to access the light wiring.

Knotty cedar strips at the bottom of the front and the first 4' of knotty pine plywood is installed.
The plywood is 1/4". Used a hot wet towel for about 30 minute over the curve. Then had
my sister and my nephew's extra hands to help hold down and staple (1", 1/4" crown).
