Join Bob and Robin for the Spring Kamp Kansas campout

Friday April 24th through Sunday April 26th,2009

in Council Grove, KS at the Canning Creek campground

Everyone who enjoys camping is invited. There is plenty to see and do in historic Council Grove. You can see where Gen Custer camped, see the ruts from the Santa Fe Trail, and 13 registered historical sites. We can eat at the restaurant that has been operating since 1857, or if you prefer there are many other choices in town including a real old time soda fountain. The lake has fishing and wonderful camping facilities. The area we have chosen is right on the lake near unique shower facilities. Each shower room is a private room. With the large group we expect, you may wish to make a reservation through www.reserveusa.com. We made ours for site 17 at Canning Creek Campground. Sites 6-23 are all OK and 8-19 are reservable, the rest being first come basis. Cost was $34 for two nights including electric and water. See the map below for other sites, all near us are pretty flat and have a great view of the lake. Please email us if you are coming so we can look for you. Happy Camping!!!
